Taranto Cruise Port Sets Sail to New Heights
Taranto Cruise Port marked its passenger record year in 2023, hosting 38 calls, 5 maiden calls and 7 different cruise lines. Costa Cruises, with its Costa Pacifica, has chosen Taranto as a partial turnaround port for 19 total calls. Costa’s debut in Taranto was a success and involved around 140,000 guests including embarkations, disembarkations and transits.
The city and the area found strong appreciation from the guests, who were able to discover—independently or on a booked excursion—the vast range of experiences on offer, spanning from the visit of the old city of Taranto, to the Valle d’Itria and Alberobello, and to the tropical sandy beaches of Salento.
