The new Taranto Cruise Port terminal, set to open in 2026, is designed to enhance efficiency and passenger experience, ensuring a smooth flow of travelers and luggage. With sustainability at the core of the project, the terminal will feature eco-friendly materials, renewable energy sources, water-saving systems, and intelligent climate control to minimize environmental impact. Its smart architectural design maximizes natural ventilation and lighting, while solar panels will contribute to energy self-sufficiency. This new facility will not only boost Taranto's appeal as a Mediterranean cruise destination but also support local tourism growth and economic development, setting a new standard for sustainable maritime tourism.
Taranto Cruise Port took part in Global Ports Holding's (GPH) worldwide initiative for International Coastal Cleanup Day. Under the banner "From Every Port, For Every Coast," participants gathered at Playa Punta Rondinella to contribute to cleaner coasts and emphasize the importance of protecting our marine ecosystem.
