Cruise Tourism
for a Better Future

At Taranto, we are committed to strengthening communities, promoting sustainable tourism, and fostering responsible growth. Our goal is to create a destination where both visitors and locals thrive, supported by economic empowerment, cultural initiatives, and environmental stewardship.

Through partnerships with local businesses, education programs, and heritage preservation efforts, we ensure that the benefits of cruise tourism extend beyond today, leaving a positive legacy for generations to come.

We believe in the power of collaboration and ethical business practices to drive meaningful change. Together with our partners, we are shaping a future where cruise tourism enriches lives, supports communities, and protects our environment.

International Coastal Cleanup Day

Taranto Cruise Port took part in Global Ports Holding’s (GPH) worldwide initiative for International Coastal Cleanup Day. Under the banner “From Every Port, For Every Coast,” participants gathered at Playa Punta Rondinella to contribute to cleaner coasts and emphasize the importance of protecting our marine ecosystem.

New Terminal

The new Taranto Cruise Port terminal, set to open in 2026, is designed to enhance efficiency and passenger experience, ensuring a smooth flow of travelers and luggage. With sustainability at the core of the project, the terminal will feature eco-friendly materials, renewable energy sources, water-saving systems, and intelligent climate control to minimize environmental impact. Its smart architectural design maximizes natural ventilation and lighting, while solar panels will contribute to energy self-sufficiency. This new facility will not only boost Taranto’s appeal as a Mediterranean cruise destination but also support local tourism growth and economic development, setting a new standard for sustainable maritime tourism.
