Primitivo is a typical Apulian wine, famous in two denominations: Primitivo di Manduria and Gioia del Colle Primitivo. This wine owes its name to the vine of origin, so named for the early ripening that leads it to be harvested between the end of August and the beginning of September.

Symbol of Apulia, taralli are baked products in the shape of a ring with intertwined ends. Both sweet and savory, they are a great souvenir to take home.

Orecchiette are a type of fresh pasta made from re-milled durum wheat flour, a gastronomic symbol of the Apulia region. Strictly handmade, the orecchiette have the typical round and concave shape, with a wrinkled surface and the inside thinner than the edge.

Mustazzoli are delicious sweets typical of Salento, made with flour, sugar, almonds, lemon, cinnamon, honey and other aromas.

Burrata is a fresh cheese, made from cow's milk, with a spun paste and rounded shape with an external appearance similar to mozzarella closed at the apex.

Caciocavallo is an aged cheese made from cow's milk with stretched curd, typical of southern Italy. It is kept hanging on horseback (hence the name) of a beam for drying.

Ceramics spread throughout Apulia already in the Magna Graecia era, taking root in those cities where it was easier to find clay, such as Grottaglie, reaching up to the present day.
