Taranto Cruise Port experienced an extraordinary event with the last seasonal double berthing, welcoming two prestigious ships: Marella Explorer 2, docked at the first Western Pier, and Azamara Quest, making its first-ever call to Taranto, moored at the first Eastern Pier.
For Azamara Quest, the traditional Crest Exchange ceremony took place on board, with the participation of the Captain, local authorities, and Taranto Cruise Port. This symbolic exchange marked the beginning of a promising new collaboration between the Port of Taranto and the cruise line.
With this double berthing, Taranto further solidifies its position as an important cruise destination. 2024 marks a crucial year for the port, demonstrating consistent growth and a strong ability to attract internationally renowned cruise companies.
